This Futurama Cartoon Quilt Blanket is the perfect gift for any lover of the popular animated series. It seems much more stunning in person than it does in the photographs. The pattern is clear, and the colors are lively and eye-catching. When I cleaned the cloth, it did not come apart at the seams or lose any of its color, and there were no loose strings. It is big enough to use as a blanket to drape over a sofa or bed, yet it is still roomy enough to wrap oneself up in while sitting on the couch.

Futurama Cartoon
Matt Groening’s animated science fiction comedy Futurama aired on Fox on March 28, 1999. The sitcom recounts the exploits of Philip J. Fry, a professional slacker who is cryogenically stored for 1000 years and then resurrected in the 31st century. Fry finds employment with the one-eyed Leela and the robot Bender at an intergalactic transportation firm. Groening conceived the series while working on The Simpsons in the mid-1990s, and enlisted David X. Cohen to help him build plots and characters in order to present the program to Fox.
Following Fox’s cancellation, reruns of Futurama started appearing on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block, which ran from 2003 until 2007 and again since 2021. It was resurrected in 2007 as a series of four direct-to-video films, the latest of which came out in early 2009. Comedy Central and 20th Century Fox Television have reached a deal to syndicate the current episodes and run the films as 16 new half-hour episodes, resulting in the fifth season. Comedy Central renewed the program for 26 additional half-hour episodes in June 2009, which aired in 2010 and 2011. The program was renewed for a seventh season, the first half of which aired in 2012 and the second half in 2013. An audio-only episode of The Nerdist Podcast featuring the original cast members was published in 2017. Hulu renewed the series on February 9, 2022, with a 20-episode order due to broadcast in 2023.
Throughout its run, Futurama gained critical praise and was nominated for 17 Annie Awards, nine of which it won, as well as 12 Emmy Awards, six of which it won. It received four Writers Guild of America Award nominations, with the episodes “Goodfellas” and “The Prisoner of Benda” winning. The episodes “The Problem with Popplers” and “The Futurama Holiday Spectacular,” it was nominated for a Nebula Award and earned Environmental Media Awards. A tie-in comic book series, video games, calendars, clothing, and miniatures are among the merchandise options. Futurama was named one of the top 60 greatest TV cartoons of all time by TV Guide in 2013.
