The Best Anime Series to Watch Right Now
Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan’s initial premise is around humanity’s everlasting fight against the terrible Titans who lurk just beyond the boundaries of civilization, based on a manga series launched in 2009 by Hajime Isayama.
Following the murder of his mother at the hands (and jaws) of a Titan, a young man called Eren tries to fight back. What follows is an anime series full of heart-pounding action, spine-chilling terror, and a body count that would make Game of Thrones blush.
It stands higher than other anime because of its ongoing capacity to metamorphosis in the face of some very stunning shocks. What started as an apparently standard man vs. monster anime has evolved into a deeper discussion of morality, vengeance, and whether someone’s misdeeds should define them. Essential watching for all anime enthusiasts, particularly as the series nears its conclusion in 2023.
Death Note
If you’re new to anime and aren’t sure where to start, start with Death Note. Not only is the English dub as excellent as the subtitled version (a rare occurrence), but it also has one of the most recognized and ‘Western’ arcs: nice-guy-turned-bad, a la Breaking Bad, or Ozark.
Light Yagami is an adolescent who stumbles into the titular ‘Death Note,’ a notepad that enables its possessor to murder anybody anonymously just by writing down their name. The light uses this ability to dispatch some of Japan’s most ruthless criminals and, as a result, begins to dream a bit larger.
As the net tightens on Light, a thrilling cat-and-mouse game develops between him and expert detective L. Death Note, a frantic drama that will keep you fascinated until the very last scene, deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as some of television’s most talked-about prestige dramas.
Demon Slayer
Demon Slayer is now the most popular anime on the globe, and for good reason: it has some of the most exhilarating and hard-hitting action sequences ever committed to film. Ufotable Animation Studio has long been known for its mastery of action, but it outperforms itself here.
In the blockbuster anime, Tanjiro seeks vengeance for his family’s murder at the hands of demons, which leads him to join the Demon Slayer Corps. Tanjiro locks his head with ferocious Demon Moon clan demons during his trip.
Demon Slayer, like much of the finest anime, balances tension with real laugh-out-loud moments. Tanjiro’s friends Zenitsu (a fearful warrior who can only battle while he’s sleeping) and Inosuke (a hot-headed lad who wears a boar’s head) are always on hand to prevent things from becoming too depressing. The show’s vicious and balletic demon-versus-demon-slayer battles are the true draw here. They’re worth the price of admission on their own.
Fruits Basket
The Sohma family gives youngster Tohru a second opportunity in life when her mother dies. Tohru quickly finds the Sohma curse, an ailment that causes family members to transform into animals from the Chinese Zodiac.
It’s a silly notion, yet it hides the core of Fruits Basket. Tohru is a kindhearted person who is determined to mend the damaged Sohma family. The leisurely, controlled pace of this slice-of-life anime often takes some abrupt twists, though, and will have you reaching for Kleenex by the end.
We’d also suggest the 2019 remake over the original since it’s a more definitive interpretation of the source material.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
On the surface, Neon Genesis Evangelion is an anime about Shinji, a 14-year-old kid who pilots an ‘Eva’ mech to defend the Earth from extraterrestrial dangers. But it goes far deeper than that.
What begins as a mecha show quickly devolves into an examination of adolescent loneliness, parental desertion, and mental health difficulties. Fellow pilots Rei and Asuka also serve as entry points for the more mature and introspective themes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, with director Hideaki Anno never shying away from the stark facts of growing up. That extends even to the content itself; its last few episodes, for example, notably push the bounds of what you should anticipate from an anime.
If you thought anime was all about massive fights with no content, this 1990s classic will prove you wrong. It’s a risky, experimental series at a time when the medium was hesitant to take chances.
Conclusion
This is the ideal location to get some products with an anime topic if you’re an anime enthusiast. Anime fans are excellent buyers since they are often outspoken and active. This site is amazing if you want to get your shirt out there!
