Baki Hanma Baki The Grappler Japan Anime Otaku Waifu
Baki Hanma is the franchise’s protagonist. At 13, he wanted to practice harder in his father’s footsteps. Later, he’ll beat him. Baki entered the no-rules arena at age 15 and won. He’s the son of Yuujirou and Emi Hanma and Jack’s half-brother. “Champion” of Tokyo Dome’s Underground Arena. He’s named “the World’s Strongest Boy” in the fourth manga.
Throughout the series, Baki is a carefree, hard-training, and often belligerent adolescent. Baki wants to beat his father, the strongest man alive, Yuujirou Hanma. Baki’s ambition is not to grow stronger than Yuujirou, but to beat him. His objective is to surpass his father and revenge on his slain mother, Emi Akezawa. Baki exercises day and night to improve as rapidly as possible. Baki, a well-known martial artist (among those familiar with the Underground Arena), fights regularly, sometimes purposely, sometimes by bad luck (usually the latter). Baki knows that the quickest and only way to grow stronger is to combat someone stronger than him. This is part of the Hanma heritage. Baki understood he fought differently from Yuujirou. Building ties with powerful opponents gives him strength, but his father thinks everyone should be mercilessly destroyed to obtain power. Baki’s mercy for his opponents irritates Yuujirou.
Baki loves and respects his friends. He’s highly protective of Kozue Matsumoto. When Sikorsky abducted her, Baki chased him down to beat him. By the second manga series, he’s quite close to his fiancée, who provides him with continual love and support. Later, they presumably saw each other less. Mohammad Alai Jr. sought to win Kozue’s love, which strained her relationship with Baki. Maybe that’s why things changed. His martial intellect is strong; he’s a clever and deft fighter who employs numerous methods of warfare. Uses smart and pragmatic techniques to win, such as blinding opponents with his blood. A well-placed chin punch may rattle someone’s head. Capable of creating and engaging with mental images of animals and people to create new postures and approaches. Despite spending most of his time practicing or fighting, he sleeps in class.
