Beerus Dragonball Anime Manga
Universe 7’s Destroyer God is Beerus. This is his martial arts instructor and attendant. Beerus’ twin brother Champa is Universe 6’s God of Destruction. Beerus is a primary opponent in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and the God of Destruction Beerus Saga, but a minor character in subsequent sagas. Purple anthropomorphic cat Beerus has bright yellow eyes and huge pointed ears. His body is hairless, skinny, and bony, yet defined. Despite being shorter than Goku, his ears make him seem taller. Black, blue, and gold Egyptian-style clothes with white and orange diamonds. In a “Super Star Guide” minicomic spoofing Champa’s likeness to Beerus, Beerus wears Champa’s clothes and is inflated by Whis to resemble Champa.
Beerus is strong, sluggish, and playful (like most cats). His extended slumber bouts and self-grooming are similarly catlike. Beerus is cranky as he awakens from his deep sleep but grows less so as he wakes up. Similar to many cats, he loves to show dominance and will claim everything he wants without thinking about others. He’s a gourmet, thus his world has fish and other goodies. While he’s a terrifying deity, his cat-like motions and facial expressions set him apart from the series’ villains. Being the God of Destruction, he’s indifferent to death and the billions or trillions of lives he’s taken throughout the years. He threatens to destroy Earth to get his way or to warn Whis and the other Z warriors.
Beerus is hotheaded and egotistical and may become angry at little things like losing a game of hide-and-seek, eating greasy cuisine, or not getting pudding. He is likewise confident in his abilities, and with good reason: he was the Z Fighters’ best opponent at the time. He is also egotistical, not willing to accept he is wrong or takes the blame for a crisis he directly or indirectly produced.
