Walt Disney Studios’ first full-length animated feature was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Walt was just 15 years old when he came up with the film’s concept. His picture had its world debut on December 21, 1937, at the Carthay Circle Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Following its statewide debut on February 4, 1938, the film grossed $8 million dollars worldwide. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs held the top-earning film title for precisely one year before being dethroned by Gone with the Wind.
