Fright Night Movie
Fright Night is a 1985 American horror film written and directed (in his directorial debut) by Tom Holland and produced by Herb Jaffe. Chris Sarandon, William Ragsdale, Roddy McDowall, Amanda Bearse, Jonathan Stark, Dorothy Fielding, Stephen Geoffreys, and Art Evans feature in the film. The story revolves on young Charley Brewster, who finds that his next-door neighbor, Jerry Dandrige, is a vampire. When no one believes him, Charley hires Peter Vincent, a TV program presenter who has played a vampire hunter in films, to end Jerry’s murdering rampage.
On August 2, 1985, the picture was released and garnered $24.9 million at the box office. It has gotten good reviews from reviewers and has become a cult classic since its premiere. Fright Night was followed by Fright Night Part 2 in 1988, and then by a remake in 2011, which was followed by Fright Night 2: New Blood in 2013. In October 2020, Tom Holland stated that he was scripting Fright Night: Resurrection, a direct sequel to the original film that will bring back characters from the original film while ignoring the 1988 sequel.
