Goofy Character
Goofy initially debuted in Mickey’s Revue in 1932 as an animated figure. He is an anthropomorphic dog with a southern drawl named for his clumsiness and stupidity. In addition to Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Goofy is recognized for his slapstick style of humor and often appears with them.
As a one-shot character, Goofy originally nicknamed Dippy Dawg, but he rapidly became a regular character in Disney short films because to Pinto Colvig’s distinctive laugh, which made him a hit with viewers and Walt Disney’s team. “The World Owes Me a Living” was his signature song, and he performed it often. The character of the Goof was mostly created and refined by animator Art Babbit. As a result, Babbit gave Goofy a jovial and laid-back demeanor, as well as a sloppy stride and baggy clothes. In 1939, Goofy and Wilbur were the first of many Goofy films to come.
