Who is Gozer?

The primary adversary of Ghostbusters is a being called Gozer, who also goes under the names Gozer the Gozerian, Gozer the Destructor, Gozer the Traveler, Volguus Zildrohar, and Lord of the Sebouillia. It is an old, ultra-powerful, malevolent creature from another dimension that was called to New York City in 1984 and to Summerville in 2021 with the intention of destroying the earth in both locations.
