This is the perfect t-shirt for you if you, just like me, get a kick out of seeing happy faces on children. When my pupils wear their shirts for the Fourth of July celebration, there will be an explosion of cuteness comparable to that of firecrackers. This is a shirt that is not only soft and comfortable for your child’s skin, but it is also made entirely out of cotton!

A Brief History of Independence Day.
On July 4, 1776, we commemorate the Declaration of Independence, the document on which our nation’s values were built and the start of our revolution. Not true. July 4 isn’t Independence Day. Not even Independence Day.
What occurred in 1776?
On July 4, 1776, the 13 original colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. The Continental Congress accepted the final draft on July 4. Today is the 230th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Important dates:
19 April 1775 started the American Revolution. First shots fired during the Battles of Lexington and Concord (Mass.) After these early conflicts, tensions between Britain and the colonies rose.
On July 2, 1776, the Second Continental Congress proclaimed independence.
On July 4, 1776, Congress adopted the final version of Thomas Jefferson’s (June) Declaration of Independence.
On July 8, 1776, the public first heard the Declaration of Independence. Trenton, New Jersey, and Easton, Pennsylvania, had later readings. John Dunlap printed the Declaration on July 4. All 13 colonies received “Dunlap Broadsides.”
The Declaration of Independence was signed August 2, 1776. This extended version was signed by the Congress president, who was the first of 56 delegates.
Delegates of the Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence on August 4, 1776.
