Who is Juzuou Suzuya ?
As a Special Class Ghoul Investigator, Juuzou Suzuya investigates the most dangerous cases. His previous name was Rei Suzuya. He was originally teamed with Yukinori Shinohara, and now leads the Suzuya Squad as its captain.
To begin with, he was sent to investigate the Binge Eater in 20th Ward. The ghoul Nutcracker investigation led him to the 13th ward and his group.
To Furuta, he was proclaimed The Next Arima—the best investigator in CCG history—and he assumed command of the S3 Squad in his place.
When he was a kid, Suzuya had a fairly normal disposition, though somewhat warped, but after Big Madam’s treatment, he lost all sense of fear, pain, and morality. His instructor, Yukinori Shinohara, called him a “difficult kid.” Despite his childlike and lighthearted attitude, he was a violent and unstable person. He appeared to take satisfaction in the cleanness of his killing procedures, which he defined as being free of unnecessary motions. He seems to have no qualms about murdering someone. Even to the point where he considers it a normal part of everyday life, he has no idea of the weight of death.
Despite his innocence, he was held responsible by the CCG for the deaths of several animals by Goumasa Tokage and Tooru Mutsuki because of his history. Nobody disputed Suzuya’s involvement in the murders, therefore he was used as a scapegoat to divert attention away from those responsible. As a rule, Suzuya has a low regard for individuals who dismiss him as a “problem kid.” He detects and despises those who judge him by their gaze.
