Who is Midoriya Izuku?
The main character of the manga and anime series My Hero Academia is Izuku Midoriya, better known as Deku.
In spite of being born without a quirk, Izuku manages to grab the attention of the famous hero All Might because to his inherent heroism and strong sense of justice, and has since become his close disciple as well as a student in U.A. High School’s Class 1-A One For All ninth holder Izuku received All Might’s transferrable Quirk.
Izuku chooses to leave U.A. before completing his first year in order to protect his classmates from Tomura Shigaraki and All For One after the Paranormal Liberation War.
A group of allies encourages him to return and lead his warriors in a last, desperate fight to preserve the planet from destruction.
As a child, Izuku’s face is framed by a short tangle of fluffy dark-green hair that stands at weird angles around his head, throwing noticeable shadows upon himself. Enormous, round eyes with green irises, his hair is often wet and spread out wide, giving him an innocent, energizing image; his eyes are large and slightly round. On each cheek, he has a symmetrical diamond-shaped cluster of four freckles.
As a child, Izuku is shy, introverted, and courteous, but he is also prone to exaggerating his reactions to unusual events. He is shown as anxious, emotional, weak, and non-expressive at the beginning because of Katsuki’s skepticism over his lack of a Quirk. Katsuki, who was often berating him for wanting to be a hero, exemplified these characteristics to an even greater extent. In contrast, after being accepted into U.A., making new friends, confronting Katsuki in Battle Trial, and developing strong leadership and strategic abilities, Izuku gradually matures into a more confident and brave person eager to prove his worth as a hero, eventually becoming a central figure in Class 1-A alongside Katsuki.
