Who is Natasha Romanoff Black Widow ?
One of the world’s most skilled spies and assassins, Natalia Alianovna “Natasha” Romanoff was an original member of the Marvel superhero team the Avengers. Dreykov brainwashed her as a youngster and she temporarily lived as Alexei Shostakov and Melina Vostokoff’s surrogate daughter when they were undercover in the US. After the North Institute was destroyed, she was sent to the Red Room, where she completed her training to become a Widow. As a KGB agent, she was targeted by S.H.I.E.L.D., until Clint Barton offered her the opportunity to defect to the organization by assassinating Dreykov, which she accepted. Antonia Dreykov’s existence would haunt her for the rest of her life as a result of Romanoff’s use of her as collateral damage.
When Romanoff joined S.H.I.E.L.D. with her Widow’s Bite and considerable martial arts training, she became one of the agency’s most effective operatives under the pseudonym “Black Widow.” She was dispatched to Stark Industries as Natalie Rushman to keep an eye on Tony Stark on one mission because they were afraid he was going to die. Romanoff helped Stark destroy Ivan Vanko’s terrorist plans on this mission.
After Hawkeye was entranced by Loki, Black Widow was drafted into the Avengers after Loki declared war on the Earth. To free Barton from Loki’s clutches, Romanoff recruited Stark and Bruce Banner to the squad and helped them hunt down and catch him. The Tesseract had opened a gateway above New York City, and Romanoff was essential in destroying it. This put an end to the invasion, and Loki was sent back to his own planet by his brother Thor after he was vanquished and deported.
