Do you know about Nightbreed?

Clive Barker wrote and directed Nightbreed, a 1990 American dark fantasy horror film based on his 1988 novella Cabal. Craig Sheffer, Anne Bobby, David Cronenberg, Charles Haid, Hugh Quarshie, and Doug Bradley feature in the film. The film follows Aaron Boone, an unstable mental patient who is misled by his psychiatrist into believing he is a serial murderer. Boone is pursued by the police, his psychiatrist, and his love Lori before finding safety in an abandoned cemetery called Midian amid a clan of monsters and outcasts known as the “Nightbreed” who hide from mankind.

The picture was a commercial and critical flop when it was released. Barker claimed in multiple interviews that the film corporation sought to pitch it as a normal slasher picture and that the powers-that-be had no true working understanding of Nightbreed’s narrative. Nightbreed has become a cult classic since its first theatrical release.
