Re-Animator 90S Scary Movie Halloween Horror Movie
Re-Animator (also known as H. P. Lovecraft’s Re-Animator) is a 1985 American comedic horror film partly based on H. P. Lovecraft’s serial novelette “Herbert West-Reanimator” published in 1922. The film, directed by Stuart Gordon and produced by Brian Yuzna, stars Jeffrey Combs as Herbert West, a medical student who discovers a reagent that may resurrect the dead. He and his classmate Dan Cain (Bruce Abbott) start testing the serum on dead human corpses, but they clash with Dr. Carl Hill (David Gale), who is in love with Cain’s fiancée (Barbara Crampton) and wants to claim the creation as his own.
Gordon and Combs’ first cinematic collaboration was Re-Animator, followed by From Beyond in 1986. It is the first film in the Re-Animator film series, which was followed by Bride of Re-Animator in 1990 and Beyond Re-Animator in 2003. Re-Animator was released to mainly good reviews and has since become a cult classic.
