Even though the story takes place in the town of Jasper, Missouri, the exterior of the film’s notorious bar, The Double Deuce, was constructed solely for the purpose of shooting on location in California and was later demolished once the shoot was over. However, some of the interiors were shot at a genuine pub in Anaheim that has since shut down after the scenes were filmed there.
