Shaman King Otaku Manga Japan Anime
Shaman King (Japanese: シャーマンキング, Hepburn: Shāman Kingu) is a Japanese manga series written and drawn by Hiroyuki Takei. It follows Yoh Asakura’s experiences as he seeks to improve his shaman talents in order to become the Shaman King by winning the Shaman Fight. Takei picked shamanism as the series’ principal subject because he wanted to tackle a topic that had never been tackled before in comics. The Shaman King manga was first published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump between June 1998 and August 2004. Individual chapters were gathered and published in 32 tankōbon volumes. Kodansha purchased the rights to the series in 2017 and relaunched it in 35 e-book volumes in 2018, as well as in print beginning in 2020.
Shaman King is about Yoh Asakura, a shaman who can communicate with the dead. Yoh wants to become Shaman King, able to wield the power of the Great Spirit to transform the world, by winning the 500-year-old Shaman Fight. Anna Kyoyama, Yoh’s fiancée, proposes a tough training program for the event. So starts the narrative that will lead Yoh to befriend Manta Oyamada and meet “Wooden Sword” Ryu, Tao Ren, Horohoro, and Faust VIII. All are shown in the Shaman King Otaku Manga Japan Anime Quilt Blanket. Shop it now if these series are your favorite manga.
