Li’s sister Ying Nan tells the narrative of Ta Lo: thousands of years ago, the universe, including the village, was invaded by the soul-consuming Dweller-in-Darkness and its soul eaters, but was saved by a Chinese dragon dubbed the Great Protector who locked the Dark Gate to the Dweller’s dominion. Nan claims Dweller-in-Darkness impersonated Li to open the Gate. Wenwu awaits Shang-Chi, Xialing, and Katy.
Our Rings. Shang-Chi is defeated by Wenwu’s rings. Soul-eaters confront Ten Rings and peasants. Great Protector revives Shang-Chi to fight soul eaters. Shang-Chi trumps Wenwu. Once the Gate weakens, Dweller-in-Darkness attacks Shang-Chi. Wenwu dies giving Shang-Chi rings. Katy, Shang-Chi, and Xialing slay Dark-Dweller. Wong summons Shang-Chi and Katy to Kamar-Taj.
Shang-Chi, Katy, Bruce Banner, and Carol Danvers appear mid-credits. Shiny rings. Xialing trains ladies and men in Ten Rings.
