Stephen King Cat’S Eye 90S Scary Movie Halloween Horror Movie
Cat’s Eye is a 1985 anthology film directed by Lewis Teague and based on two of Stephen King’s short stories: The Ledge and Quitters, Inc. Alan Silvestri composed the music and Jack Cardiff shot the film. The film is made up of three storylines that are tied together by a cat that journeys from place to place looking for a small girl to rescue her from a magical peril. The cat plays small parts in the first two chapters, seeing strange occurrences such as smoker Dick Morrison being cured of his nicotine addiction by a Mafia-style organization and gambler Johnny Norris being forced to play a dangerous game on the brink of a tall building by his lover’s jealous husband.
The cat eventually locates the small girl, who greets him and calls him “General.” Unfortunately, General quickly comes into conflict with her cat-hating mother, who takes him to the local animal shelter to be put down. Undaunted, the cat flees and returns to the girl, where he encounters a small troll seeking to take her breath. General saves the girl’s life after a fierce battle by knocking the troll into a huge fan. After the father discovers conclusive proof of the troll’s existence, the girl’s mother finally accepts the cat, and all seems to be fine.
The cat enters the girl’s chamber when everyone is sleeping as an epilogue. General, like the troll, jumps up on the bed and approaches her face, looking at her in the same way. He then lays on the girl’s chest and licks her face in an attempt to wake her awake. She beams with delight when she sees him.
Inspired by Stephen King’s tale “Cat’s Eye,” this blanket has a painting of a cat’s eye. This would make an excellent Halloween quilt or frightening movie blanket.
