The Church La Chiesa 90S Scary Movie Halloween Horror Movie
The Church (Italian: La Chiesa) is a 1989 Italian supernatural horror film directed and co-written by Michele Soavi and produced by Dario Argento, Mario Cecchi Gori, and Vittorio Cecchi Gori. Hugh Quarshie, Tomas Arana, Barbara Cupisti, Asia Argento, Feodor Chaliapin, Jr., and Giovanni Lombardo Radice feature in the film.
The Church was intended to be the third part in the Dèmoni series, after Demons (1985) and Demons 2 (1986). Soavi insisted on the picture being separate from the series in order to be “intelligent,” and rewrote the script to exclude any reference to the series. The majority of the material was recorded in the Matthias Church in Budapest, with some footage shot at studio sets in Rome and downtown Hamburg, Germany.
