The Godfather Movie
The Godfather, a 1972 American gangster epic film adapted from Mario Puzo’s best-selling novel, is considered a classic. Its cinematography, mournful soundtrack, and Marlon Brando and Al Pacino’s performances made it a cultural benchmark.

Vito’s son Sonny (James Caan) is slain, and Michael’s Sicilian wife is killed in a failed assassination attempt. Michael marries Kay and Vito makes peace with competing families. Michael replaces his father as don and, after bringing the family fortune, undertakes a crusade to eliminate all Corleone attackers.
