The Pinheads

Marty McFly, Paul, Lee, and Bobby formed the band The Pinheads. On Friday, October 25, 1985, they auditioned for the Battle of the Bands in front of three adults and one student at the Hill Valley High School gymnasium. Their audition song was a hard rock rendition of “The Power of Love,” but the chief judge asked them to stop after just a few minutes because they were “too darn loud.”

Marty’s fiancée Jennifer attempted to persuade him to submit a recording of his band’s songs to a record label named R & G Records after he failed the audition, but Marty thought he could face another rejection.
