This is a vintage 90s Chrismtas movie quilt blanket with the text “The Preacher’s Wife” on it. It was designed by Kirsty Webeck and modeled by Jennifer Connelly. This was used as an actual prop and production piece in the film, so it has been handled a lot during filming. You can see scuff marks on the back, but it is supplied with a protective storage bag so that at least you don’t have to worry about how it will be handled while you are using it!

Courtney B. Vance leads a Baptist congregation in NYC. Church membership is dwindling as Henry’s parishioners tug him in 100 directions. Joe Hamilton (Gregory Hines) pressures Henry to sell the church for condos. Julia (Whitney Houston) feels neglected by Henry. Henry prays for help and Dudley (Denzel Washington) arrives. Henry doubts Dudley’s angelic claim. Julia likes the angel.
Dudley spends Christmas with Julia and Jeremiah. Beverly (Loretta Devine) is outraged when Dudley arrives. Dudley will destroy Julia’s marriage, says Margueritte (Jennifer Lewis). Julia and Dudley skated and headed to jazz club. Henry confronts Dudley about Julia. Dudley opposes the church sale. Henry will be a better spouse and father. Henry’s faith is restored by the Christmas pageant.
Dudley decorates the Biggs’ tree. Dudley erases everyone’s Christmas Eve memory. Jeremiah congratulates Dudley.
Julia sings. She sang in nightclubs but now sings at church. This subplot involves gospel choirs. Cissy Houston plays a dominant singer.
