Vegeta Dragonball Anime Manga
Prince Vegeta or Vegeta IV is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball series created by Akira Toriyama. Vegeta initially appears in Weekly Shonen Jump #204 Sayonara, Son Goku on November 7, 1988, pursuing the wish-granting Dragon Balls to obtain immortality. Prince Vegeta is from the Saiyan warrior race. Arrogant, prideful, and diligent, he continually references his ancestry and royal rank. He believes he should be the universe’s best warrior and gets obsessed with beating Goku after losing their first encounter. After Frieza’s death, Vegeta joins the heroes to stop Cell, Majin Buu, Beerus, Zamasu, and Broly. Throughout the series, Vegeta’s status evolves from villain to antihero to hero, yet he remains Goku’s competitor.
Vegeta is one of the most famous characters in Dragon Ball, manga, and anime. Due to his character development and storyline in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, he is a popular adversary character. When designing Vegeta, Toriyama planned for him to be a short-lived adversary and second-tier character, but he grew more popular than he imagined. Thus, Toriyama kept Vegeta in the tale. He spoke about the character’s appeal in an interview for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. “I had planned to conclude [his narrative] as a villain, but as I wrote, I found his perverted straightforwardness appealing. I never thought a person with that hairdo would be popular, yet he beat Goku in favorite-character polls.”
Toriyama first disliked Vegeta because he was a terrible character, but came to admire him because of his plain demeanor. The persona was “very useful” to him. When he got fan letters urging him not to murder Vegeta, he did. Toriyama showed interest in making Vegeta the star in another animated film after Battle of Gods, while he emphasized no decision had been taken. Following the theme of Saiyan names being puns on vegetables, Vegeta’s name is a pun on vegetables.
