Vegeta Majin Dragonball Anime Manga
After slaying numerous citizens at the World Martial Arts Tournament stadium, Vegeta feels confident and pleased with his new elevation to power owing to the black magic of the wizard Babidi. As hundreds of fans depart the stadium in horror, Vegeta’s wife Bulma begs him to explain why he has murdered so many. In wonder, Goku asks Vegeta for an explanation. Still grinning at his immoral acts, Vegeta stares at Goku and demands a battle or more havoc and death would occur. Goku disagrees and tells Vegeta to back down. Vegeta builds up another big strike and unleashes it before Goku can answer, causing rubble and flames to erupt from the collision.
Goku sees the wreckage and turmoil around him and changes into a Super Saiyan to fight Vegeta. Supreme Kai begs Goku not to give in to Vegeta’s aggressive demands, saying Babidi is manipulating Vegeta so Goku may help Majin Buu revive. Goku doubts Babidi can psychologically overpower Vegeta, however. Goku realizes that Vegeta let Babidi possess him on purpose to release his inner strength because of his pride. Vegeta confirms this, saying he knew he couldn’t overcome Goku in his natural condition and, knowing Goku only had 24 hours on Earth, opted to sacrifice himself to Babidi to boost his abilities so he could finally defeat him after years of hate and jealously.
Supreme Kai accuses Vegeta of being mad, to which Vegeta furiously responds that he never bothered about the existence and probable waking of Buu, and only cares about reclaiming his honor in a fight against his competitor and opponent like all Saiyans used to do. Still feeling he should be stronger owing to his royal heritage, Vegeta rages at how he has always been overcome by Goku, a Saiyan who is against the moral rules most Saiyans stood by before they went extinct. The fact that Goku attempts to show kindness to all of his bad foes further confuses Vegeta.
