Who is Yelena Belova Black Widow ?

Yelena Belova, also known as Elena Belova, is a member of the Red Room who served for General Dreykov. She is Natasha Romanoff’s adopted sister and goes by the name Yelena. After Romanoff betrayed the Red Room’s trust and defected, Belova and the other Black Widows were subjected to the mind-controlling programming and transformed into Dreykov’s submissive servants. Following her liberation from the control, Belova joined forces with Romanoff, as well as their adoptive parents Alexei Shostakov and Melina Vostokoff, in order to bring the Red Room to its knees once and for all. In the end, they were victorious and freed all of the Black Widows; Belova was the one who ended Dreykov’s life personally. After she severed ties with Romanoff, Belova devoted the next two years of her life to rescuing as many of the other indoctrinated Black Widows as she could before being taken out by Thanos’ Snap.

After being resurrected in the Blip in the year 2023, Belova made many attempts to locate Romanoff, but she was told that she had passed away. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine said that Clint Barton was responsible for Romanoff’s murder, and she told Belova that she was to assassinate him. In December of 2024, Belova found herself in a dispute with Barton and his pupil Kate Bishop. Barton was able to convince Belova that the death of Romanoff was a conscious decision made by Romanoff in order to rescue Belova and the world. Despite the fact that Barton came dangerously near to being killed by Belova, Barton was successful in his attempt to persuade Belova. After coming to terms with Barton and coming to grips with Romanoff’s passing, Belova gave up on her purpose and left into uncharted territory.
