Slasher is a Canadian series that was taken up and labeled as a Netflix original, however, the three seasons that are now available have received minimal marketing.

Slasher is an anthology series, which means that each season tells a different tale. They have no connection, despite the fact that they share some of the same cast members, who are constantly recast in new roles, as we see in American Horror Story, the much more publicized horror anthology series, also on Netflix. Slasher may lack some of Ryan Murphy’s more renowned series’ extreme ridiculousness, but it’s a lot superior program at its heart, building interesting puzzles while still maintaining shock value. Each season has eight episodes, and it took me approximately 6-7 episodes to accurately predict the murderer each time, about when they’re exposed anyhow, and the program doesn’t have as many bothersome red herrings as we usually see in mysteries like this.
