Nala is a fictional character in Disney’s The Lion King film series. Introduced in the animated film The Lion King (1994), Nala later appears as a less significant character in the film’s sequels The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride (1998) and The Lion King 112 (2004), and acts as a regular character in The Lion Guard (2015–2019).

Moira Kelly, an American actress, voices the adult Nala in the original film. Young Nala’s spoken voice is given by actress Niketa Calame, while the singing voices of young and adult Nala are performed by vocalists Laura Williams and Sally Dworsky, respectively. Nala is introduced as the daughter of an unidentified lion and Sarafina, Simba’s closest friend, and eventually becomes his wife, as well as Mufasa and Sarabi’s daughter-in-law and Scar’s niece-in-law, at the conclusion of The Lion King. Simba marries Nala and she becomes his Queen. Nala is also Kopa, Kiara, and Kion’s mother.
