How does The Nutcracker relate to Christmas?
In German mythology, nutcrackers were presented as souvenirs to bring good fortune to the family and to safeguard the house. They are thought to symbolize strength and power and to protect the family from bad spirits and danger.
They derive from ancient dining traditions in which odd, novelty nutcrackers were used as dining entertainment during the dessert course. It would spark interesting discourse while they ate their last meal, which might contain pecans and hazelnuts. Many early nutcracker designs included birds, animals, and humans. They did not take the form of monarchs and armies that we are acquainted with until the 1600s and 1700s!
Nutcrackers were first popular in Germany, where they were made in the Erzgebirge mountain areas. This practice was not well recognized until the 1800s, with the premiere of Tchaikovsky’s ballet ‘The Nutcracker Suite’ in 1892.
Many of us will have heard of this ballet and may take a trip to the theater to watch it during the holidays. The narrative of this play originated in the late 1700’s/early 1800’s book ‘The Nutcracker and the King of Mice’ by E.T. Amadeus Hoffman, which is most likely where we recognize the Christmas nutcracker from. Due to its Christmassy theme, the ballet premiered in St. Petersburg in 1892 and has remained a beloved seasonal treat for young and old alike worldwide.

- All products are proudly printed in the United States, made as ordered, and printed on demand just for you. So each item will go through a production process. Because of this, there will be a Processing Time for them. Production varies from item to item (see below for a more accurate time).
- Orders print and ship Monday-Saturday.
- Some items may ship separately.
When will I get my stuff?
After your order has been placed, this is how the order is processed: Fulfillment time: 3-10 business days. It might be increased during special occasions (Christmas season, New Years, affected by disasters, Pandemic, etc.). Each item have different Production time (see below). Note: “Business days” are considered to be Monday through Friday, not including holidays or scheduled service interruptions. Please check with your local postal service for all other regional restrictions and observed holidays that may delay receipt of your shipment. Follow after the fulfillment time the shipping time which is different for products and shipping location. Please see the table below for more detailed processing times and shipping times:

- Order may arrive in multiple packages. Because of the difference in type and weight, Drama Shirt may pack your shipment in multiple packages, you will not be charged extra other than the amount that you've paid at checkout.
Tracking
When available, we will send you a tracking number with the confirmation email so that you can track the package online.
Shipping multiple orders
Multiple orders placed on the same day cannot be combined.
Shipping to multiple locations
Unfortunately, we cannot split up an order and ship to multiple locations. If you wish to send items to different locations, you will need to place a separate order for each shipping address.
Address changes
Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to change the shipping address once an order is out for delivery.
Customs charges and delays
Some countries may require import tax, duties, and customs fees for the imports. These charges, if applicable, are determined and charged by the Customs office of your country. Paying these charges is your responsibility. There might also be delays in delivery times due to customs checks which is out of our control.
