Caddyshack: Free Bowl Of Soup
Although the classic screwball comedy “Caddyshack” was released in 1980, it is still one of the most adored sports films in Hollywood history. The idea of the film is straightforward: the calm and quiet of the exclusive golf club Bushwood Country Club is disrupted when a noisy, arrogant new member (well portrayed by the late Rodney Dangerfield) enters the club. Meanwhile, a teenage caddie called Danny Noonan (Michael O’Keefe) tries to win the club’s annual Caddy Day golf tournament to gain money for college, with help from rich ne’er-do-well Ty Webb (Chevy Chase).
Rodney Dangerfield built a long and successful stand-up comedy career by disparaging himself, so it stands to reason that he would be as adept at criticizing others. Dangerfield treads a delicate line between making fun of everyone and being cruel. This person would delight in insulting you.
