Both the Demogorgons and the superpowers that are shown in Stranger Things are works of fiction. Neither of these things can be found in the real world. A large number of individuals are of the opinion that the Duffer Brothers got their ideas from the Montauk Project, which was an experiment in time travel and warfare that took place in the early 1980s and included the kidnapping of children.
