Michael Myers Halloween Horror Movie
Michael Myers is a fictitious character from the Halloween slasher film franchise. He originally appears in John Carpenter’s Halloween in 1978 as a small child who kills his adult sister, Judith Myers. He comes to Haddonfield, Illinois, fifteen years later, to kill more youngsters. In the original Halloween, the adult Michael Myers, referred to as The Shape in the closing credits, was played by Nick Castle throughout the majority of the film and Tony Moran in the last scene when Michael’s face is revealed. John Carpenter developed the character, who has featured in eleven films, novels, computer games, and comic books.
The character is the principal adversary of the Halloween film series, with the exception of Halloween III: Season of the Witch, which is not tied in continuity to the other films. Six persons have worn the mask since Castle, Moran, and Wallace did in the first film. Only Castle, George P. Wilbur, Tyler Mane, and James Jude Courtney have played Michael Myers more than once, with Mane and Courtney being the only actors to do so in consecutive films. Michael Myers is portrayed as pure evil in the films, by the filmmakers who conceived and developed the character throughout nine films, and by random participants in a poll. Michael wears a white Captain Kirk mask in the first two films. The mask, which was constructed from a cast of William Shatner’s face, was first shown in the 1975 horror film The Devil’s Rain.
