Riverdale Movie
Riverdale is an American teen drama television series based on the Archie Comics characters. Archie Comics chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa developed the series for The CW, and it is produced by Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios in collaboration with Berlanti Productions and Archie Comics. Originally conceived as a feature film version for Warner Bros. Pictures, the concept was reimagined as a Fox television series. The project’s development was transferred to The CW in 2015 when a pilot was commissioned. Vancouver, British Columbia, is the location for the filming.
The sitcom has an ensemble cast based on Archie Comics characters, including KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as the series’ narrator, Jughead Jones. After a youngster is murdered in Riverdale, this gang of teens attempts to uncover the dangers that lurk within this seemingly harmless town. Riverdale premiered on January 26, 2017, to mostly good reviews. The series got renewed for a sixth season in February 2021, which will be broadcast on November 16, 2021. The series was renewed for a seventh and final season in March 2022, with the launch date scheduled for 2023.
